Official flights with a hot air balloon started over Gobeklitepe. Gobeklitepe, located in Urfa city of Turkey, is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and is described as “the zero point of history”.
According to the statement made by the Governorship of Urfa city, the necessary permissions were obtained from the General Directorate of Civil Aviation by the hot air balloon company for tourism-oriented hot air balloon flights in Gobeklitepe.
Test and promotional flights have been completed, the company has started official flights as of today.
