What Is Vivaldi’s Four Seasons?
Vivaldi’s Four Seasons is a set of four violin concertos, one for each season: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Each concerto has three movements, fast, slow and fast, and a short poem goes with it. All four together take about 40 minutes to play.
The music paints pictures with sound. You can hear singing birds, a barking dog, buzzing flies and storms. It was printed in Amsterdam in 1725 as part of set of twelve concertos, and it is one of the best known pieces of baroque music.
Concerts at the Library of Celsus
The restored facade of library makes a natural backdrop for music, and at night the lights bring out every column and statue.

Concerts here are announced year by year, so check the official calendar for new ones. For the evening openings and the big shows in the Grand Theater, read my post on Ephesus at night.
